Kid Cudi has announced a new album, Entergalatic, which will soundtrack a new adult animated series coming to Netflix. Cudi will star in, write, and executive produce the new show. Kenya Barris (“black-ish”) also serves as executive producer, while Ian Edelmen (“How to Make It in America”) will executive produce and write. According to a Netflix press release, the series will “follow a young man on his journey to discover love.” The news follows the recent announcement that Cudi will star in Luca Guadagnino’s new HBO series “We Are Who We Are.”
Entergalatic is Cudi’s first solo album since 2016’s Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’. (It’s also the name of a song on his 2009 album Man on the Moon: The End of Day.) The record, to be released on Republic, does not yet have a release date. In a tweet today, Cudi wrote: “The cast is coming together. I know a year from now seems like forever but itll be here before u know it!”
